2004 Jeep Wrangler

After years of fun on the trails, the "Little Red Jeep," my trusty hard top 2004 Wrangler Sport TJ, is looking for a new adventure buddy! This 4.0L six-cylinder automatic has been my go-to for wheeling action and has a proven track record of off-road fun. Built up from bone stock about 13 years ago, it's now equipped with a 4" Dick Cepek lift, 33" Goodyear MT/R tires (five of 'em, with excellent tread!), rock rails, full wrap rear quarter body armor, a front winch bumper, and stylish tube fenders. The swing-out spare tire carrier makes accessing the tailgate a breeze, and the mud-friendly vinyl interior seats with a roll-on bedliner for the tub means you can get dirty without worry. While the "Little Red Jeep" is ready for more adventures, full disclosure means acknowledging a few areas that could use some attention (detailed below). I've priced it fairly, considering these factors, and see it as a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a capable Jeep project at a reasonable price. The Honest Details: While it isn't tagged, it certainly could be. I would suggest a rework of the suspension components beginning with the lift kit if your aim is making it a daily driver. There is surface rust at all 4 corners at the connection points to the control arms. It's got new ring and pinion gears in the rear axle (broke it on the last trip I made). There are several 'whammys,' with the worse two being at the A post and rock rail of the passenger side. The winch is dead in the water. Motor and transmission rock solid. This would make a great off-road fun toy (cheaper than a side-by-side, and has a great heater!) or a deer camp rig. 4x4 works in both low and high. If you're looking for a Jeep with character, a solid engine, and a history of off-road fun, the "Little Red Jeep" might be your perfect match.
