Royal Delft 1889 Pitcher Porceleyne Fles

tunning Royal Delft De Porceleyne Fles collectors pitcher, 134 years old. The year code for both is K corresponding to 1889! In fine antique condition with a couple of age-related flaws. There is one tiny chip in the glazing on the top rim, and a hairline crack on the handle (important to note that the handle has not come off and been glued back on; it is a hairline crack with a little chip of glazing missing). Please check the pictures that show these two issues. The pitcher has overall crazing, which is typical of Porceleyne Fles of this age, and only adds to its vintage charm, not detracting in the least from its beauty and value. This piece is most unusual, hardly ever coming up for sale on eBay or on other antique sites. I had two others almost identical which I sold recently. Otherwise I haven’t come across any other. Apart from the typical De Porceleyne Fles markings, it has the imprint “JT &L” which stands for Joost Thooft & Labouchere”, Measurements: Height 7 3/4” Width with handle 6” A wonderful addition to a Porceleyne Fles collection (or a great way to start one).
