Description

1980 Miyata touring bike with extra large frame. This is a survivor! Nice original condition but far from perfect being 44 years old! This is one of the most sought after touring bikes of the 1980's! Sheldon Brown said it was better for touring than the upper tier 1000 model. It is lightweight and strong. I am 6'0" and it is clearly too tall for me. I recommend being maybe 6'2" or, even better, taller for this bike. I have owned this for many years and don't want or need to sell it, but it is time to move on and get something that fits me better. New tires are barely used. Newer chain with very little usage. Dark red with gold details. Ride or build it. This can be an ultimate tourer!
