Between 1970 and 1973. The Dawn dolls were smaller than Barbie dolls, slightly over 6" in height. The dolls were popular (they topped sales of Barbie for a while), but the company that manufactured them, Topper, went out of business in 1973. They were reissued in the late 1990's to 2003 by Checkerboard. Both dolls in very good condition. Four outfit's, one pr of stocking, and jacket, 5 pair of shoes and a pair of boots! Two purses(1 with a broken chain handle) a phone and brush, also 4 Dawn inscribed clothes hangers! I just read this about these doll's; Topper Dawn Doll ArchiveINFORMATION: Informational archive about the Dawn Doll Series produced by Topper Toys from 1(contact info removed). Dolls are 6.5 inches tall with rooted hair and eyelashes. Beautiful and detailed handpainted faces. Also the Dawn's pink car, made by Topper toys in the early 1970's. The car is missing the windshield, as is common with this particular car, and a missing hub cap. This car does not come with a box. This is not a battery operated car and it was not manufactured to be battery operated,as Dawn's 1st car (the blue one) was, nevertheless the design included the openings for batteries, but no electronics.
