Description

Running, titled, and registered 1972 Norton Commando. I love this bike, and hate to let it go. It has so much grit and guts, and has been a dependable example of Brit Iron. Built by 59 Cafe Classic Motorbikes (me). This clean Commando features sensible upgrades to both make it more reliable and give it a cleaner aesthetic, much like a CNW bike. Swept back pipes with UK made Megaton mufflers (sound incredible), low euro bars, vintage controls, JRC Engineering single D-slide racing carburetor, electronic ignition, LED bulb conversion, gauges deleted (still have), sculpted/painted fork ears, shrouded Hagon shocks and finished in classic Norvil Yellow paint. (Text for video of bike running) When I purchased the bike, the engine had been rebuilt by the previous owner who was a Norton collector. I own four other Nortons, including an 850, and this bike is the quickest and has the most torque of them all. I do not see the "c" stamped into the head which would designate it as a combat engine, but from the feel of it it is definitely more powerful than stock. If full asking price is paid, it will come with both the stock seat and the custom Corbin "gunslinger" shown. The only flaws in this bike are the natural patina and some bubbling in the paint on the fuel tank. The fuel tank holds this crappy California gas no problem, since it has been Caswelled, but fumes have put the bit of blistering in the paint. I do have access to a steel replacement tank that can be purchased separately if desired. I also have many stock Commando parts at my warehouse out of state. Besides a little spit and polish, this Vintage Norton needs nothing....just get on...& hold on.
