This document was signed in 1909 by Theodore Roosevelt appointing George Washington Edgerton to the position of postmaster for the city of Puyallup in 1909. It's also signed by the Secretary of the Navy and postmaster general at the time. This is an important part of the city of Puyallup history as George Washington Edgerton help to found the city of Puyallup and the Puyallup fair. You'll notice that George Washington Elgers has an elementary school named after him in Puyallup. The Puyallup historical society has a scan of this at meeker Mansion. This is indeed a very important historical document in the United States and in the state of Washington and in the city of puyallup.
