Zhao Huimin Decorative Chinese Porcelain Plate

Beautiful decorative porcelain plate featuring intricate Asian art. Vibrant colors and detailed design done in a traditional “Guohua” painting style (classical Chinese brush painting) from his 1980’s collection. (This one is 1986 specifically). This plate is 8 1/2 inches and comes in its box. Part of a limited run; these kinds of plates were part of “The Beauties of the Red Mansion” featuring famous female figures from Chinese literature and mythology. Comes in its original decorative presentation box with printed traditional artwork and Chinese calligraphy. That box style (with silk pattern, bamboo leaves, and bird art) was typical for high-end collectors’ editions during the 1980s in Hong Kong and mainland China. Goes on eBay for $100-130 for great condition such as this. • Artist: The third image shows the portrait and biography of the artist who hand-painted or designed the plate, named Zhao Huimin (赵惠民), a well-known Chinese porcelain artist.
