Salsa Colossal (53cm)

2016 Salsa Colossal. 53cm, good for someone 5’4” to 5’10”. The 4130 CroMoly steel frame, carbon fork, HED Belgium+ rims, and tubeless Schwalbe G-One 30mm tires make for a stable, smooth, dreamy ride. SRAM Apex groupset and Brooks C17 saddle round it out. I’ve been the only owner, and it’s always been stored inside. Rub marks on the headtube are from touring with a handlebar bag, and some other minor marks elsewhere on the frame. Some might call them scuffs, some might call it patina, but the fact remains that this is a steel frame that can take whatever you throw at it. A super versatile build, it’s been used for cross-country touring, gravel, cyclocross racing, commuting, fast-paced Saturday morning group rides. It’s a great option for someone looking for a reliable starter road bike. Can also be a reliable gravel bike, as it can clear 32mm GravelKings.
