Defects & imperfections - please check pictures made under the bright light & magnification: slight tarnish on the silver parts, unnoticeable in real life. Fascinating Fun Facts: • This elegant form is known as a claret jug, traditionally used for serving red wine (especially Bordeaux — aka “claret” in Britain). • The swooping body is hand-blown glass, and the collar is modeled after Victorian silver ewers, often decorated with shell and leaf motifs. • These were hugely popular as wedding gifts in the 1950s–70s and often sold in department stores like Neiman Marcus or Saks.
