1992 Honda XR250

Engine fully rebuilt - split the crank case and worked through the entire engine after a top end failure. Replaced cylinder head, piston, rocker arms, valves, etc. that were broken or that exceeded wear limits according to manual. Carb has been rebuilt. Rear brake restored and new pads added. New petcock in fuel tank. New chain, drive sprocket, and wheel sprocket. New oil dipstick/temperature gauge. New throttle tube and throttle cables. I was in the process of making this a dual sport bike. Front headlight has been installed which has daytime running light (amber) as well as high and low beams. Retro Baja headlight guard installed. Horn installed. Rear tail light and brake light installed Rear signal lights installed. Front signal lights included but not yet installed on bike. Mirrors installed. Handlebar control switch installed. Rechargeable battery installed inside air box. Acerbis x-factory hand guards. New plastics and repainted the old plastics white. The bike runs and rides exceptionally well for its age. If you know the start-up routine for these bikes, it is a very reliable kick-starting bike. Decomp lever installed to even further remove start up problems by allowing you to remediate a flooded engine more effectively. Follow the routine correctly and she’ll start every time. I have a ton of spare parts for this bike including engine components, another frame, gas tanks, wheels, bolts/nuts etc. would be happy to include all the spare parts for an additional $200. With another cylinder head and cylinder jug, you’d be close to another complete xr250. This is a classic bike and has a ‘bomb-proof’ reputation. Reach out if interested.
