Pioneer PL-518 Turntable *Restored*

Pioneer PL-518 Direct Drive Semi-automatic Stereo Turntable now available.  One of the most collectible vintage Pioneer turntables in very good condition and fully serviced. (See photos) Serviced performed: - Completely cleaned and detailed including cables and power cord. - Dust cover polished and in very good condition. - All PL-518 Pioneer turntables have dry rotted feet or missing feet altogether. Reproductions are available online for about $60. This unit has 4 fabricated feet that look good and actually work to reduce rumble.  - Underneath all return mechanism parts cleaned of old tacky grease and re-greased. - Direct Drive motor pulled, cleaned and re-oiled. - Cam gear pulled, cleaned and re-greased. - Tonearm removed, cueing damping grease replaced for a easy rise/fall of tonearm. - Interior Speed trim pots serviced and set to center in coordination with user adjustable speed pot. (This unit keeps perfect speed without constantly having to adjust) - Tonearm bearings checked, re-seated and sparingly oiled up/down and horizontal.  - Tonearm and headshell contact surfaces clean and conductive.  - On the proper original Pioneer headshell there is a vintage Empire 4000Dii cartridge with original stylus set up. This cartridge and stylus combo is excellent. The cartridge and stylus alone trade for $150+ and are quite sought after. It mates up particularly well on the PL-518. If you're looking to spend less, a different cartridge/stylus combo can be installed instead or buy it without a cartridge.  These turntables come up from time to time but not generally fully serviced and cleaned/detailed (most people would feel better knowing their new vintage turntable doesn't have dirt, dust, spider cocoons, dead insects etc inside!!!!lol Most of them do after sitting for decades).
