Description

This is a celebration piece conceived and executed by me in a prison cell. It is an oil painting on a 24x18 square of a prison bed sheet. I experience one of the dreads of a prison sentence: death of a loved one. And I couldn’t be there, couldn’t mourn with family… If you see beauty in the macabre, if you understand how suffering leads to creation, if you believe in redemption… this piece is for you.
