Personally ordered from Nicks website in 2022, and lead time was 16 weeks (to build), with all black leather components, except—eyelets which are brass. Leather is MaxSupport Black All Roughout which is toughest to break in and only gets better over time. Basically, you don’t have to worry about nicks on leather, like with buff leather boots. They come with original leather laces, unused…and leather kilties (tongue insert under laces) for less lace pressure points. You can definitely not use them, some love them, some don’t. Other than that, I broke them in, now they are fully comfortable without pressure points. They are heavy boots, and if you are accustomed to wearing a sneakers, it will be difficult in beginning.
