Description
1999 GMC Safari converted into a camper. It took me 6 months and I enjoyed the work as much as camping with my buddy the van, I am selling it because I am considering a pusher and I am in no rush. This van has decent paint but considering the age it could be better. I have installed insulation under the cider and a fan in the roof, mood lights and sink that works with an electric pump powered by Yeti 400 power converter. The converter is charged by a solar panel on the roof of the vehicle when on the road but the charger has a wall adapter and can be taken at home, removable. "wood" floors and small fold down table inside. Under the bed I store everything I need for camping. Under the sink 2 water cans of 5 gallons each one for fresh and one for gray water. There is a portable toilet and a awning with an LED strip. The engine is beautiful (as you can see from the picture) and runs like a dream, it has 171K miles which is right for the age however it has new pressure hoses, motor mounts, valve cover gasket, power booster, gas pump, liquid reservoirs, upper arm bushings, distributor.... I can't even remember what else but I have lots of paperwork. I had all these parts changed because I take care of my van and because I want it to be reliable. What does NOT go is the lock on the passenger door, a small crack on the dashboard and because I upgraded the rims the front tires occasionally rub lightly against the fender. Nothing that cannot be fixed with time and patience.. not much money.
