Elmer Lynn Hauldren bobblehead. Elmer Lynn Hauldren, better known as the Empire Carpet Man, portrayed the flooring company's character on TV since the 1970s. He started as an advertising copywriter for Empire until he was asked by the company's owner to be on-air talent for the commercials. Great part of Chicago TV history.
