Sonor Sonic Plus Kit Drum Set

This is 100% Birch German made sonor sonic plus kit. The sonic kits were made from around 1996 – about 2001 and then were replaced by the Chinese made 3001/3003/3005 series. The 3000 stuff is good but the quality difference is substantial and the craftsmanship on the German shells is way better. The shells were made using the same process and machinery as the designer and delite shells. Designers and delites Will run you anywhere from $3000-$4000 for a five piece. These aren’t of designer quality of course but at the time this was one of their lower lines but still made to the same standards as the designer stuff. The drums have become quite rare due to their affordability and their incredible sound. Finding these drums on eBay is pretty rare. Those who owned them, keep them for the most part. After the sonic plus they released the sonic plus 2 but these were not German made and not 100% birch and were not nearly as good. This kit sounds awesome. I am real picky about the sound of my drums and this is one of the better sounding kits I’ve played. They include isolation mounds and none of the tom holders or even floor tom legs or bass drum mounts are drilled into the shell….. instead they attached to the lugs. Very innovative. The specs…. sonor sonic plus German made 100% birch in blue stain…. It’s like flat wax blue stain with a very cool wood grain. I’d say the condition is very good….. not mint by no means but very good….. would make an awesome live kit….. A few dings here and there but nothing major.
