The time has come to sell my 1997 Honda CBR900RR Fireblade, unfortunately. I'm not the original owner, but I have had her for around 14 years and kept maintenance up-to-date! I bought it from a bike mechanic & she has been my pride and joy! She will run and drive but currently leaking gas out of the carburetors. The bike sat for a few months, and upon restarting, gas began to leak from the carbs. So, the carburetors will need to be thoroughly cleaned. Condition: -----_____----- The bike currently has most of the fairings off due to service. I can reinstall everything if needed. So, in pictures, it may seem fairings or parts are missing, but I do have like 99% of everything. I can get more pictures if needed.------- Yes, it will need a new paint job. A few fairings have slight cracks and blemishes, but most can be repaired and repainted! The biggest 2 cosmetic flaws are a crack in the windscreen & a slight crack in the fuel tank that had repair started. It was filled and puttied, but not sanded down or painted yet. The windscreen may need replacing. It being an old bike, I would recommend a fuel tank cleaning soon. Details: -Clean & clear VA title -Odometer reads around 48k miles, but engine and transmission were replaced at some point. Transmission probably has around 15k miles on it & the engine has roughly 28k-30k miles. -New tires (less than 100 miles on the front tire, less than 300 miles on the rear) -New Brake pads (less than 20miles on them) -New Brake fluid in front & rear -New spark plugs (not installed yet) -New brake & clutch levers -New hand grips (not completely installed yet) -New manual cam chain tensioner -New starter (1-2yrs old) -New clear integrated taillight w/turn signals -New clutch & brake cables -New gas cap -New front & rear sprockets (less than 50 miles on them) -New rectifier -New oil drain bolt (not yet installed) -Stator & rotors are only a few years old -Oil, oil filter & air filter changed 2 months ago -Coolant flushed/changed 1 yr ago -Battery is only a year old (kept on a tender) -Power & ground wires were upgraded to 0GA wire -Chain was replaced a year ago(less than 50 miles), but it has rusted pretty bad & may need cleaning or replaced again -Lowered in the front and rear by 1-2 inches -Extension blocks, extended around 3" -Yoshi exhaust slip on (sounds great) -Tuned about 10 years ago -Custom seat covers(need cleaning or replacing) -Custom front seat (very comfortable) -Custom manifold air intake filter -Has Led light kit w/remote -Has a power socket installed -Cutoff undertail -Flush mount front turn signals -Carburetors have all new orings/seals -1 ignition key & 2 gas cap keys Needs: -A new fuel petcock (current 1 is stiff) -Carburator cleaning -Hand grips to be fully installed -Fuel tank cleaning -Chain replaced or cleaned -Maybe a new windscreen -----_____--_____------_____-_-_-_-_-_-_----- **I have a ton of extra parts as well (a tote worth) that will go along with the bike!** These models are starting to become rare and hard to find, even getting parts for them. I couldn't find any other CBR900RR from this generation for sale anywhere in the US currently. Only a few of them outside my generation model, are for sale in the country. In other words, I know what I have! Located in Stafford Va. I can provide transportation for an extra fee, if needed! Asking $2.5k, cash only.
