This is a current model year Schwinn Mesa 1 in size large and medium with 27.5 wheels. It has a retail price of $700 plus tax ($60ish) and is comparable to a Giant Talon or Specialized rockhopper recreational hardtail. Schwinn has two tiers of bikes. There are the department store exclusives and then there are the shop-level models. The Mesa 1 is shop-level and the highest version of the three that it’s offered in. The Mesa was Schwinn’s flagship hardtail bike going back to the 90s. This bike is great to start out mountain biking on and as you progress, it’s compatible with an abundance of upgrades.
