I am the original owner of these rare Sony SS-TL1 Transmission Line Speakers. Made in the USA in 1988, the SSTL series is based around a transmission line system forcing a column of air through an acoustic labyrinth. The acoustic labyrinth and front port are tuned to provide roll off characteristics. The result is an extended linear bass response that is hard to believe from a two way speaker. These speakers sound great and are in near perfect cosmetic condition. Each speaker cabinet has a 6.5" woofer and 1" tweeter. Dimensions are 9"L x 10"W x 36" high. These feature nice quality cabinets, and if you like blonde oak, you will find these speakers very attractive. In no hurry to sell. If the ad is up, item is still available.
