Selling my 1971 Honda CB750K1 Four motorcycle. This motorcycle has full ownership history and has been garaged and cared for all it's life. The K1 is in my opinion the best year to have, costs a fraction of the K0 and is the last year of the awesome HM300 exhaust and the gauge cluster with the jewels in the gauges. This Honda is finished in Candy Garnet Brown (original paint), not only a beautiful color but the rarest color with less than 10% of the K1's produced. Originally owned by an aircraft mechanic in New York who only used it in the summer month and put 28kmiles on it. Bought in 1994 by a friend of mine who took it with him when he moved from New York to Atlanta. He put a few 100 miles on it and then stored it in his climate controlled basement gas drained. I bought it in 2011 from him. I drove the bike some and then decided to do a full restoration to as close as new condition but preserving its originality. I only used NOS Honda genuine parts, sourced from Hondapartsplus in TX (now out of business). About 3k miles ago I did the following work: Brakes: Front completely rebuilt, all new seals, brake fluid, pads and new stainless rotor, rear cleaned , new brake shoes. Engine: Adjusted valve clearance, dropped oil pan - cleaned oil pump strainer (was already super clean. New oil/ filter. Carbs: Cleaned, some floats have solder repair. Exhaust: Original HM300 exhaust in great condition. 4 new baffles installed. Pipe #1 has a repair at the usual weak spot. Drive train: New RK Takasago o-ring chain, wheels trued and balanced. Clutch: Replaced around 27kmiles by original owner. Transmission: Shifts perfect. Starter: cleaned, works perfect. Tires: Older good Metzler Perfect ME 77 front, ME 99 rear Suspension: Front forks new seals and oil. Electrical: Cleaned and tightened up all connections. Everything works perfect and reliably. All lights cleaned, bulbs replaced as needed. Gauges: NOS face plates and jewels ($100 a piece!). Gas tank: Tank is mint, absolutely no dents or damage. Inside clean metal. Seat: All original including seat cover. Much better than current replacements. Side covers: Both covers in great shape, both have some fiberglass repairs on backside. Performance: I spent great effort to sync the four carbs w/ vacuum gauges and to tune the mixture screws. Bike has absolutely smooth power band all the way to redline. Battery: Good battery has been on battery tender (included). Ignition: Original ignition. New points gapped and timed. Hardware: Every last nut , screw and bolt is genuine Honda with the correct markings. Fenders: Chrome good, some small imperfections as expected. Frame: great condition, no acid damage, black paint in very good condition. Chrome: All chrome very good, some still like new such as the handlebars and the gas cap.
