I purchased it for $600 last year and only used it last summer. I moved and it will not fit in the sliding windows I have now. The unit puts out 12,000 BTU, cools 450-550 sq ft which is about the size of a small one bedroom apt. or a large living room. You need a 220v outlet, see pic of plug. This unit can also be used as a heater in the winter. You don't have to take it out of the window ever winter. The heater puts out 11,000 btu of heat. Unit has a remote control. Measurements are 22.63"D x 23"W x 16.13"H
