Top of the line integrated amplifier from Onkyo. A-7's are well regarded and common. This A-10 was Onkyo's top offering at the time and is far more rare. Its full of all the leading edge options like 3 phono connections, 2 MM and 1 MC, and completely isolated channels all the way down to separate transformers and power supplies. On top of that, it outputs a huge 85w/ch, both channels driven. I can measure actual output if that figure is important for the sale. This integrated packs some serious punch and can easily drive power hungry speakers. Tonality is very clear and clean with plenty of low end. This specific A-10 has just been serviced with a full deoxit on all controls, bias and center voltage adjusted per service manual, and a health check on the descrete components. Its outfitted with the original Toshiba output transistors that tested strong and healthy. The protection relay was desoldered and internally inspected and I opted to replace it rather than clean it as the contacts were a little too worn for my liking. Condition wise this amp is about an 8-8.5/10. A little wear on the text by the power button and some scratches by the headphone jack and around the edges of the faceplate. Overall unit presents well. Auditioning available for serious buyers.
