Footage looks absolutely lovely, with just enough vintage video look in some modes, but still in HD. Large 1/2.7" sensor, 1080 HDV recording, 30P or 24P Cinema mode, optical stabilization, 10x optical zoom... Records in HDV, but will also read your old DV tapes. Has a photo mode that records to MiniSD card. HDMI out, component, USB, Firewire... Smart accessorie shoe on top (under cover). Great manual focus controls.
