1996 Yamaha Royal Star with custom springer front end. This motorcycle was my dad's for as long as I can remember. I purchased it from him 3 years ago when he had to give up riding due to health issues. I had it professionally painted, put new tires on it and just had a brand new carburetor put in it. Unfortunately, the carb wasn't the issue. This bike needs work. The mechanic who worked on it told me it'll need new intake boots because all 4 have cracks in them. It has a oil leak. It is minimal but the underside, due to years of collection and coagulation is coated in oil and dirt so it's hard to pinpoint the source. The back tire loses air as well. It has done it ever since I had the tires put on so my thought is perhaps the tech pinched the tube during installation. It will require some work and will need to be towed. It fires but doesn't hold idle. She's got a lot more to give for someone who is willing to give the TLC
