This is a very high quality dog bed. It is a Big Shrimpy Nest Dog Bed. The outer layer cover is suede for where the dog lays and a nylon on the bottom that is against the floor. The suede cover goes around the next layer which is a green waterproof layer. The green waterproof layer houses the recyclable and washable cushion stuffing material for the bed. The waterproof layer protects the cushion material from being soiled in case the dog has an accident. All pieces of the bed are machine washable This bed has been used, but it has been washed and cleaned ready for the next home. I have had one of these beds for every dog I have had and they are first class If you are looking for a cheap dog bed to just get by with then this is not for you. If you want to treat your dog well so he/she has quality place to sleep and lay then it probably is for you
