This scanner allows you to scan directly onto the SD card that you can plug into this device, or into your PC/MAC or smart device. It connects via USB. Scanning speed is pretty good, nut it also depends on the resolution you choose prior to importing photos. For example doubling the resolution will cause the scan time to quadruple. Typically 300 DPI is a good resolution that will let you recreate your photos in great detail. You can go as high as 600 DPII buy it will take longer to scan and take up more room on your device. I also want to mention that I don’t have the power supply cord, but it DOES RUN ON 4 AAA BATTERIES! So you don’t necessary need the power supply. I scanned all my old documents and photos on batteries. They last a while. But if you absolutely need one, iI included a photo where you can pick on up for $10. For this pricks, this is a steal!
