Description
This antique Shaker rocking chair was manufactured in the 1890s in South Central Pennsylvania. It is made of maple wood with its original finish, and wicker handwoven into a herringbone pattern. The seat, back, and back post finials are all in good condition, and have been well maintained. It was used as a fireside rocking chair for decades, and has been well cared for.
