Description

Overview: Up for sale is this fantastic and rare woodblock print by Barbara F. Hughes. Hughes was from Farmersville, Texas. She was quite accomplished in watercolor painting and woodblock printing. She lived in Okinawa, Japan for more than a decade and studied with Hodaka Yoshida, son of Hiroshi Yoshida. This woodblock print is dated 1980, and titled, "Spider Conch," showing a lovely rendering of a spider conch. It is numbered 6/10 in pencil. Print comes framed under glass. Condition: Print is in excellent condition. Matting has minor discoloration/staining at upper right. Frame and glass are in good condition. Matting could probably be easily replaced, but I will leave that up to the next owner. Measurements: Print measures approximately 12.5 inches wide x 10.5 inches high (sight). Frame measures 15.5 inches wide x 13.25 inches high.
