Description
Design #4879 was created by Vicente Martinez in 1974. The production was retired in 1996, making the sculpture a very rare piece of art. Per Lladro description: This figurine depicts a young woman wearing a long, light blue dress with darker blue trim. She has a matching bonnet and is holding an umbrella in her right hand. She has a peaceful countenance. Aranjuez is a city in Southern Spain. An interesting trivia fact about the town is that for almost two hundred years, only royalty were allowed to live it. That practice did not end until 1752. The umbrella she is holding is a separate piece. It is a "Dresden lace" style parasol common during Victorian times. Manufacturer: Lladró, Spain. Weight: 1.7 lb Material: Porcelain, Matte Finish Size: H: (approx.) 12.5 in L: (aw/umbrella) 6 in W: (approx.) 4 in
