I think this desk is oak because of the weight but please don’t hold me to that. I am not good with woods. I went over the desk with one coat of stain the same color to brighten it just a bit and put prettier knobs on it. I think the blingy knobs are way prettier and fit for a jewelry box. Never mind the cost of those knobs and the stain. The price is fair and I am not adding extra because of it. Just pricing based on other similar items I found and the quality I find the furniture to be, including any flaws which a very few. I used it as a desk for a short time . It makes a great desk too. But I covered it so as not to damage it and it deserves to be seen., not covered. There is a sticker on bottom that it comes from target corporation. It also says 08/12 so it is quite old but in excellent condition. The stickers are posted. Has some light scratches but you can only see it at an angled light. There is one spot on top you can see it. It is lighter than the rest I am presently trying to get it covered with the stain just on that one little spot. So it may look even better when it sells. I could give you updated pics if asked. Already, it is less noticeable as I started this post yesterday. I will post the last photo of how that is coming, or the first. You will see the difference. It is still super beautiful and the spot isn’t very big. It is very sturdy the mirror is perfect and the drawers are in mint condition. I went under the desk and tightened all the screws and the hex screws ? The things you use a ratchet with. Everything is in mint condition. Brand new. There are 2 drawers. The middle drawer is decoration because of the mirror compartment. That compartment is covered the fabric often seen with jewelry boxes. Check these out online. I am confident of the quality in mine and my updates make it the prettiest I have found. You will also see my price is more than fair. Please come and check it out yourself before deciding. I am quite proud of it as I want to start refurbishing furniture this was just simple and hardly touched. I am working my way up.
