Description

Kimball (by Bösendorfer) Viennese Classic Piano ** EXCELLENT condition ** 6 feet, 7 inches ** Ebony gloss finish ** Modeled after the Bösendorfer 200 Grand Piano ** Made in America (French Lick, IN) Rare find! This piano (670P) was produced while Kimball owned Bösendorfer, a high-end Austrian piano manufacturer. A limited number of these pianos were produced using the scale, overall design, and quality production methods of a Bösendorfer grand piano. This is not your standard Kimball! The tone, sound, and touch of this piano is very near the quality of a Bösendorfer piano without the expense. It features the world famous "Schwander" grand piano action (even and responsive) and European hammers. Its touch and play ability is immense with a large range of expression available. It has a mellow, lush European sound. The piano has been regularly tuned, maintained, and well cared for. The piano’s finish, soundboard and bridges, tone, sound … everything about it … is in excellent condition. At retail, this piano is priced from $10,000 to $15,000. We are asking $8,500. It is a “Bosey” without the hefty price tag. This piano comes from a smoke-free house and is available for pickup between now and August 30. History In 1966, the American piano manufacturer, Kimball Piano, owned the Austrian piano brand Bösendorfer. In the late 1980's, Kimball created the Viennese Classic as a joint design venture with Bösendorfer. Kimball began to scale some of their branded pianos to virtually identical specs as the Bösendorfer line. The Kimball Viennese Classic 670 is virtually identical to the Bösendorfer 200 of the same time period.
