Runs great, only used for a few hours when our AC went out a couple years ago. Plugged it in and made sure still works great, it does. You are welcome to plug in and test before purchase. Will cool up to 570 sq ft, we had in 600 sq ft room and it worked like a champ. Has sleep mode. Does need to vent to outside (all required materials included), as all portable A/C units do.
