Vintage Ethan Allen rocking chair Windsor nutmeg spindle back colonial early American Baumritter Beautiful classic Windsor archbach spindle back rocking chair made by the famous Ethan Allen Company. This is done in a classic colonial early American style, probably pine but finished in maple or nutmeg color. They were well known for making this style since the '50s when they started as the Baumritter company and then changed their name to Ethan Allen. They are famous for high quality very sturdy well made furniture in classic styles. This is an excellent example. This would be perfect for any classic country cottage cabin decor, or eclectic, maximalist or English country style. Perfect for wailing away the time in cozy comfort as you sit and read, sew, knit, gossip, or even watch TV. You certainly won't need to worry about replacing it because this will last a lifetime. Made back when they knew how to make furniture. Not sure of the time. They made this design from the '50s to the '70s but always high quality in a traditional style. Condition is good. Maybe a little scuffed or scratched here and there but overall the finishes in good shape. The seat is a little worn but I wouldn't recommend trusting any rocking chair that hasn't seen a good amount of sitting over time. Gives it just the right lived in look. Available in Northeast Seattle. Could possibly be delivered around Seattle for free or a reasonable charge.
