Antique Japanese Taisho Isho-Dansu Dresser, Meiji Period (1868 – 1912)

Japanese tansu wardrobe Isho-Dansu from the Taisho period with metal handles. This wooden tansu is a fine example of traditional mobile wardrobes in Japan. Three wide drawers at the top are followed by a medium-sized drawer on the left, and the two small drawers on the right. The cabinet consists of two separate parts. with its clean lines, beautifully weathered appearance and handy storage space, this Tansu will add an Oriental touch to any kind of interior. Authentic Wabi Sabi inspiration! The tansu is in good condition. The cabinet has been cleaned and treated and is ready for immediate use.
