Wow! This 1950’s set is breathtaking. The mirrored tray is very large measuring 27” long x 12” wide x 2 2/4” high. Each glass perfume dispenser measures approximately 8 1/2” tall x 4 1/2” wide. The lidded square container measures approximately 4” x 4” and 2 3/4” high with the beveled top in place. All 4 corners and interior raised sides of the tray are very ornate with a generous amount of gold finish embellishments married with, what appears to be, mother-of-pearl inlays at all corners. Very Hollywood Regency style. The abstract stoppers of the perfume bottles are beveled on all sides and form a bold abstract geometrical shape. The unity of the design between the bottles and stoppers enhance the overall aesthetics and sophistication. The gold tone floral design appears on the front of the bases. The same floral gold pattern appears on the lid of the trinket / jewelry container. The perfume containers and jewelry box are made from very thick clear glass. The underside of the tray features a gray felt pad and is footed to protect the surface on which it is placed. All pieces are in outstanding condition. No chips, breaks or cracks. The stoppers of the perfume bottles are tight. Perfume was never kept in the containers and, therefore, are odor free. The lid of the jewelry box is tight. The metal gold tone accents on the tray are bright and clean. The mirror is not foggy or discolored. There are a few minor scratches on the mirror’s surface. This set has survived throughout the decades and is a testament to timeless elegance and beauty. Unfortunately, this set’s magnificence cannot be fully depicted in pictures. Photographs are unable to capture the full quality and appeal of the pieces. My Mother, the original owner, cherished this set. It is time for someone else to appreciate its loveliness. Cash only.
