Blues Pearl Texas Tornado 2x10 with three knob reverb! From the Blues Pearl Website: Texas Tornado guitar amplifier: The Prince of the tube amplifiers. Reincarnated in the original design format (Can't believe it!) Texas Tornado , This original famous handwired point to point tube amplifier has all you need, with almost 30 watts of real horse-power. Handwired with hand picked, highest quality, top shelf parts. Cabinet is local handcrafted pine, finger jointed and covered with the highest quality tolex. Two 6v6 tubes with 5AR4 tube rectifier. Original Blues Pearl tone reminiscent of the black face Deluxe Reverb. A single channel amplifier with two differently voiced inputs. This amplifier will come with 2x10" Jensen special design speaker . This is the Texas Tornado - a model based on the blackface Fender Deluxe Reverb, and built by Robert Hudson of the now-infamous Blues Pearl amplifiers. Mr. Hudson designed and built amps from about 1995-?? before folding and mysteriously disappearing in the early part of this century. This amp is dated "08/97" which puts it in the sweet spot for Blues Pearl. This Texas Tornado has a pair of 10" speakers. The hand-wired circuitry is all original. The blue Tolex is in excellent condition; the diamond-white grill cloth is in great condition. The chicken-head control knobs are also original. The stated output is approx. 22w and is very loud when cranked. Break up of the 6V6 power tubes starts to occur around 5 or 6. There is no Master Volume on these amps--like a blackface Deluxe. The reverb is capable of dripping wet surf tones, having 3 dedicated controls just for that effect: Depth, Dwell and Tone. The rest of the control panel has: Input 1 and Input 2 (hi, lo +/-5db ), Volume, Treble, Middle and Bass. There are two speaker outputs--neither one of them marked, unfortunately. The amp currently plays very well, with no appreciable hum and no noise from the controls.
