Large and nice 22x7x22 This is probably the finest original Ming chessboard you will ever see post 1940’s. The grain of the chessboard squares are all in absolutely perfect allingment.  The light squares are mahogany, and the dark squares are walnut.  The grain is superb with both the light and dark squares.  Each playing square is 2 inches square.  The overall size of this chessboard is 24 by 24 inches.  The border (or playing margin) is 3 5/8 inches wide on all sides.  The border is red oak. All of the woods used in this chessboard work perfectly together, as they are in the same tone values. This is a floor playing chessboard (should you choose to play it on the floor), that small margin of height keeps your pieces from falling off.  Of course, this chessboard can be played on a table as well. The height from the bottom feet  to the top of the chessboard is 7 inches.  Note the sweeping curve of the legs.  This makes this chessboard graceful and elegant.  This chessboard is both beautiful and structurally solid as a rock.
