Miller & Kreisel S-3B Audiophile Bookshelf Speakers MK M&K Sound

Here is an all-original factory-matched pair of Miller and Kreisel compact bookself S-3B satellite speakers, bearing sequential serial numbers. When new thirty years ago, these fine American-made speakers were priced at $1,000/pair. They are in perfect condition and sound fabulous. They have speaker terminals and crossovers that allow you to connect them for either a standard or brighter sound, depending upon your personal tastes and the acoustics of your listening environment. The S-3B sound is assertive for home theater and yet also has all the warmth and detail for critical music listening, which was the hallmark of Ken Kreisel's legendary loudspeaker design. Small size but huge sound - the S-3B's can take an astonishing 200 watts of power. Their frequency response is flat all the way down from 20 kHz to 80 Hz, which is the precise subwoofer crossover point recommendation for THX home theater. Once paired with a good subwoofer, their sound is amazing, but they are also extremely impressive all on their own in spots where you want to hear accurate music reproduction in a small to medium sized space. Absolutely no issues with the all-original drivers or crossovers. These speakers originally would have had a metal MK badge on the grill cloth, but the MK logos (which were attached with a weak adhesive at the factory) are now gone. Other than that, they are in cosmetically mint condition.
