Description

1980's skidoo safari. Bought this snowmobile from someone in an estate sale as is and it was the best thing I ever did. Not the fastest or best looking sled but STARTS FIRST OR SECOND PULL EVEN AFTER ALL SUMMER . Super dependable out in the snow and never broke down or had any issues at all. When most of my friends were flying past me with their turbocharged newer sleds with larger engines, they'd often break down 15 minutes later, unable to get them restarted. Theirs may be faster but between the relaxed style of the flat and comfortable 2-3 person seat, along with the dependable record it has kept up for several years everytime I took it out, I would pick this one everytime. I'm sure it could use a new belt track and fresh front ski arms as they are probably original but to someone like me who just uses for fun to RIP around, it does just fine in all conditions. I never replaced anything besides spark plugs but it's always ran super great and never caused me any problems, breakdowns or stuck ever. To the enthusiast and someone who knows sleds, I'm sure those wearable items could do for a replacement but to somebody that just wants to get on and rip around in the snow, as is as perfect for anyone. Does about 35-40 mph I'd guess. Holds 8 gallons I believe with a 50:1 fuel oil 2 stroke miz. Apparently has a very dependable single carburetor I was told. Much better than a dual carb style many had. Painted the main front plastic motor cover/ front body fairing pearl white. Spray paint cans not body shop. Dings, scratches, wear for sure, as a 30 year old machine will. No key necessary I wired to always start without but left kill switch. Bought without title so no insurance or registration possible as far as I know. Bc if this, probably not for the enthusiast doing legitimate snowmobile trips across maintained trails. Perfect for joyriders like me to get on a few time a year after snow. Lots of fun! A second motorcycle accident has forced me to sell this due to...
