The Story goes like this, in 1941 my grandma moved her kids to calif., my granma's best friend had a house coming up for rent, but she called the tenant and asked if they could come look at the place, she said "yes", so they went over, when she let them in my mom saw this Desk and fell in love with it @only 6 years old!, my grandma amd my uncle looked around and my mom wouldnt leave the desk, she even asked if she could have it, and got scolded for that, so the day came to move in, my grandma puts in her key opens the door and 'there sitting right in front of me" she would always say when telling me the story of her desk.
