Vintage ALLEN TINNERS ACID D-100 Soldering Flux plastic bottle with partial contents made by L.B. Allen Company in Schiller Park, Illinois (near Chicago). L.B. Allen Company was founded in 1893 and specialized in manufacturing fluxes for soldering, welding, etc. Allen Tinners Acid D-100 basically cleans and removes oxides from metal before soldering or welding, and is typically used in the automotive industry, sheet metal work, plumbing, etc.. Estimate this item dates to about the 1960s. Plastic bottle is in excellent overall condition and is about 2/3 full of the original contents. Cap unscrews as normal. Labeling with only very minor wear from age and previous use as shown in the pics. Original store price sticker still intact… 79 Cents!! Very nice display item or for actual use. Bottle measures about 4” high and 1 5/8” diameter. See pics for more details and zoom in for closeups.
