Stunning early 19th century dark oak curved glass Curio display case. Made from oak wood with dark mahogany stain. Stain extends to top of cabinet as well. Wood is in great condition for age and has no major damage. The curio stands on working casters that have light resistance to them due to age. Curved glass on outside of case in perfect condition, free of scratches and chips. The original hardware includes hinges and functioning skeleton key lock with original, beautiful key. Inside there are 4 thick, durable glass shelves in great condition. One shelf has very small chips, hardly noticeable, included in pictures. Overall they are nearly perfect. The shelves are permanetly secured in place and there are hinges on the bottom if an additional shelf were to be added. The backboard is adorned with fabric that's attatched with subtle staples hidden off to the sides. You can change out the fabric or remove it if desired, however it's beautiful as is. One fluorescent was light added in the top of the case with a small hole drilled out of the back for the wire, which is completely hidden from view. This curio cabinet graced an antique shop for 30 years and was never available for sale, however the owners are ready to find it a new home.
