The design is inspired by the Empire or Louis XVI style, characterized by straight lines and opulent decorations inspired by classical antiquity, such as the laurel garland carved on the top panel and the details that simulate pilasters or columns. The frame seems to be made of wood or wood pulp (wood paste). The surface is lacquered in a bright white, and all the ornate reliefs have a golden finish, probably gold leaf or a similar finish. The golden ornaments include the central garland and the repetitive motifs along the vertical side edges. The mirror is large, full-length, and is integrated into a larger piece of furniture, possibly a wardrobe or a “trumeau” type of furniture. In excellent condition!
