Description

Rare and spectacular bronzed metal bookends of a Cowboy on a bucking bronco, signed by the artist Gladys Brown (Edwards) in 1947 and made by Dodge Inc. These two bookends are identical They are cast in metal with a dark bronze finish and excellent sculptural detail. The back is marked "Gladys Brown © 47". The bottoms are open. Each measures approximately 9" tall by 7.5" wide by 3.25" deep, and each weighs a little over 3 lbs. Gladys Brown Edwards was the premier artist and designer for the Dodge company that produced Western themed metal statues, figurines, and bookends of horses and cowboys from the 1930's-50's.
