Plants are ranging from $10 to $30 on the majority of potted arrangements, while older specimens taller than some children could cost over $100. Pottery, my calling card, remains high value and priced aggressively across segments. Two or more item purchases are subject to discounts, and people even bundle their way into free pots and cute plants. The largest pots cost between $80 and $100 (up to 20 inches wide or 28 inches tall), but there’s a glut from $10 (up to 8 inches) to $45 (16 inches and heavy). These are all primarily glazed ceramic pots, with trays attached, and adequate drainage. But I’m quite aware I’ve mentioned the word free, so let me further detail. To me, free entails when I give someone a nice pot after their purchase, significant cash discounts, and even the occasional small parting pot for the “polite no purchase.” There are outright free items though, and those include: pallets, pottery shards (both glazed and terracotta), cuttings on occasion, 2 to 8 inch plastic nursery pots, small rocks, assorted cardboard, terracotta for children, cracked or damaged pottery, and of course, friendship. With that in mind, if you’ve got some plant friends you’d like to rehome, shoot me a message, and I’d likely trade you pottery for them.
