Vintage Aspen D 28-12 JAPAN 12 STRING ACOUSTIC early1970s NATURAL FINISH/ MATSUMOKU FACTORY HIGH END MODEL Beautiful spruce ply top guitar, mahogany ply back/sides (nice flamey back,see image #4), mahogany neck, ebonized fingerboard and bridge. Also nice Grover style open chrome plated strip machine heads that work great ! (see image #5) These guitars were handmade in Japan by same factory as Ibanez/Suzuki/Alvarez/ect. and are on the higher end of this factory's output, they were imported by a music company in Texas. On the label of this guitar there is a serial number ( ADD8812K ), an older style label which indicates early 1970's manufacture. Guitar is in excellent shape for a 45 yr+ instrument, almost no dings/finish flaws at all !!! I have fitted it with a new set of phosphor bronze strings and it has it's dusty old original vinyl covered chipboard case.
