Vintage Singer 500A Rocketeer heavy duty all metal gear driven sewing machine in portable carrying case with original accessory box with 5 feet, 5 bobbins, 4 additional cams, seam guide, ruffeler attachment, etc. Identical to the Singer 401a mechannically. Top of the line in its day. One of the last all metal Singer sewing machines. Sews excellent on all fabrics at up to 1000 stitches per minute. It will sew through all fabrics including heavy fabrics such as denim, canvas, duck, lightweight leather etc. It makes many stitches (straight with needle position, zigzag, multi point zigzag, blind hem, stretch, and many decorative embroidery). Double needle capable, use two needles and two spools at once for perfect parallel straight, zigzag, decorative, stretch, and coverhem substitute stitches. Great for free motion quilting.
