What we got here is an AMC R9 video/audio receiver. What is AMC? It's a step above your typical big brand receiver like Sony and Onkyo. Although it's not quite Audiophile quality it puts out sound on par with some of those $3000-$100,000 receivers. Will maybe not the 100k ones. What it doesn't have at this moment is a remote. To hook-up a Phono you will need a preamp as most receivers during this time period didn't include phono outs.
