2007 Mercedes-Benz R-Class

Hello I am selling the car for $1,000.00 obo, being that it needs a motor timing chain over haul. Or motor swap. The car still runs great and u can drive it. In need of cam replacements and timing chain replacement. Which I’ve found mechanics that said 3,300 out the door. With quality parts. It may be able to be less expensive I’d you use A1auro or one of the online vendors. For those who can swap the motor that’s the best option. I don’t have time to fix the car or I’d keep it and replace motor. However the best thing to do is verify the motor is still good with certain simple steps a good mechanic should know, and if so replace timing chain. Since I know the motor is solid and transmission it perfect with up to date fluid changes ... Then you have a car for another 150k miles transmission is billet proof, car rides great though. Great car for someone on a budget and can be a good use. I’m not trying to get over on any person, please read this to know why I’m selling it… 160,000 miles runs great needs, ((( typical maintenance things))) front tires front shocks, back brakes, common problems. other than that has new many parts. All in all for about 4500 bucks you can have a great running car that I know will last another hundred thousand miles, a Mercedes which where one of the leading companies in safety, powerful car, rides nice. I bought another car and just want get this one to someone who will go through the effort to have a good car. I am not parting it out or selling to any one who wishes to piece it out. The transmission alone goes for a thousand and the new air shocks and rebuilt stability system is another 3 grand. If I wanted to part it I’d just make more money. My loss is your gain! ——NOTE—— All cars nowadays with variable valve timing motors will have the same problem… Every 100k miles replace tensioners and timing chain… Stability systems issues,and recalls….
