Clean California title and non-op status ready to go. This RD350 was a father-son project built with my dad, who’s been a Yamaha head since the 70s. He rode them back then and never lost that connection. We wanted to capture the classic RD look he remembered while giving it modern performance and reliability. Finished in bright yellow with the iconic Yamaha decals, it’s a nod to the golden era of 2-strokes. The Liquid-Cooled engine swap was the centerpiece (rebuilt with less than 50 miles), backed by Mikuni carbs, a 6spd gearbox, Factor Pipe and Carron silencer. It also has XS400 enhanced front forks and wheels with new Shinko tires, Ohlins rear shock and SRX600 modified swingarm to make it as sharp to ride as it is to look at. XS650 gauge upgrade, CDI ignition upgrade and stainless nuts and bolts throughout round out the build. Runs strong, no leaks and starts easily. The result is a one-of-a-kind RD that feels alive on the road. The rear sets and low-profile seat make for a comfortable position while keeping you ready to attack corners. The engine is smooth and well-mannered up to about 6,000 rpm, then it takes off hard all the way to 10k+. Brakes have upgraded calipers and master cylinder to give you total confidence.
